This card was a relief print I did for Southwestern Seminary to send out as their annual Christmas card. They wanted the card to be centered around Matthew 1:22-23 highlighting the word “Immanuel” and humanity's need for God to come to earth through the person of Jesus and give us hope in a future with Him. The method used, block printing, subtly portrays Jesus’ role as a carpenter during his life on earth. The depiction of the crown above the manger represents his humble reign on earth. The illuminating star highlights the hope humanity has because of his sacrifice.
